Only thought that came to my mind was, if you thought you enjoyed those conveyor belt Sushi, you need to try this!
One of my favorite quote on the internet is : STRESSED spelled backwards is just DESSERTS. I mean, it can’t be a coincidence right? Some things that kept me going through those bad days when I was suffering from anxiety and depression were vanilla ice creams and chocolates. I remember waking up in the morning having no will to go to work and finding that will by telling myself I’d get me a gallon of vanilla ice cream and eat it straight out of the container if I would just get through the day. Now that I am in a country where sweets seem to be heaven-sent I made sure to include desserts on my list. Join me once again as we travel around Harajuku and visit the first-ever conveyor dessert cafe in Japan: Cafe Ron Ron.

MAISON ABLE CAFE RON RON’S INTERIOR |
The interior of the cafe is made with a mixture of the softest hues of pink. There are balloons, bar stools and a big conveyer belt in the center where your eyes can feast on the different menu their cafe has to offer. Even their tumblrs and drinks look very attractive.
FEES AND MENUS |
- Women: 2,100 yen
- Men : 2,400 yen
- Kids: 1,700 yen
- Preschooler: 500 yen
Customers from 1 to 3 can eat for 40 minutes and avail one original bottle. Lemon juice is complementary for all so have some while eating your desserts.
The cafe offers bite-size food of your favorite Japanese desserts. There were cute little dangos, tiny nikuman (meat buns) and other fun desserts like this bite-size was banana crepe. Take a look at them here:
They don’t just offer desserts here, they balance it out with some traditional Japanese foods or other menu such as the American dog, bit-size pizza, miniature omu-rice and even a potato salad in a cone.
CONCLUSIONS |
All in all we had a lot of fun eating away during our stay in the cafe, I was shocked that I was able to eat so many of the desserts and snacks. I recommend coming here during the morning time, it’s less crowded and if you haven’t had your breakfast yet you will truly be able to munch a little bit more than you thought. So if you like conveyer belt sushi and would like to try something different in Harajuku, you definitely have to try Ron Ron Cafe.

Trivia:
Ice cream testers use gold spoons to be able to taste the product 100% without a slight percentage of ‘after-taste’ from typical spoons.
